General info
Please read the following carefully:
  • This is a presential event only. If you are a speaker, and are unable to travel, contact us by email.
  • If the budget allows it, we will cover travel expenses, as well as local expenses, for invited speakers and also for participants. In any case, contact us by email.
  • From Madrid City Centre, there are regular trains (Cercanías Madrid) from Atocha Main Station to UAM/ICMAT. Line C-4 (with either end station Colmenar Viejo or Alcobendas S. S. de los Reyes) will take you to the train stop Cantoblanco, from which you can walk the rest of the way. The train takes around 40 mins.
  • If you are flying to Madrid, you can take the train line C-10 from Terminal 4 to Atocha. There are regular buses between the different terminals. You can also take the usually faster option of bus or taxi directly outside your terminal to Atocha or even directly to UAM/ICMAT.
  • Note that it is still mandatory to use facemasks on public transport in Spain (this includes flights to Spain, buses, trains, metros and taxis).
